WAYS TO HELP OUR SCHOOL

Everyone can help out and every little bit makes a difference!  There are many ways to get involved and help our school.  Click on the links below for more details, watch for more information in the weekly newsletters, or call the school and ask.

Volunteer!
Parents, grandparents, and other adults are always appreciated.  Extra help is needed in the classrooms, in the library, and for many other special projects or events.

In the Classroom:  Just email your child's teacher to find out where current needs are and how you can help.  The email format is teacher's first name.last name@lposd.org

In the Library:  there are always lots of projects, and the hours are very flexible.  Put away and/or reorganize books, read to a class, or print Accelerated Reader labels, plus more.  Volunteers are also needed to help with the book fair in November, February/March, and May.

With Special Projects:  The PTA is in need of volunteers to help with projects!

Assist with a Fundraiser!  Several events are held during the year, including Papa Murphy's Pizza night, the magazine sale, the Scholastic Book Fair, the Valentine baskets, eScript and more.

Recycle, Recycle, Recycle!  From Campbell's UPC codes, to Litehouse dressing lids, to empty ink cartridges of all kinds, General Mills Box Tops for Education, to donating gently used books to the library - there are many ways to recycle and help our school at the same time!
