A Message from the Principal:
March 28, 2025
Greetings Kootenai Families,
As we jump into spring break, I hope you and your family will have time to disconnect from work and technology, be present, and enjoy quality time together!
We have a lot coming up in the month of April, including the Jogging Club (starting 4/7), McTeachcer Night (4/17), Quarter 3 Awards and The Crows Nest, as well as our annual BoosterThon Fun Run (kickoff is 4/11) and the main event is on April 24th! Stay tuned for event reminders coming your way :)
This year we are starting a PLAYGROUND PAVILION FUND to build a new 24' x 20' covered structure on our playground! This space will provide students with a safe, shaded area to play, learn, and gather — even during rainy or snowy weather. By contributing to our BoosterThon Fundraiser, you're helping create a place where kids can stay active and engaged no matter the forecast. Every donation brings us closer to giving our students a fun and functional outdoor space they can enjoy all year long. Thank you for your continued support and generosity! We couldn’t do it without you!
In addition, we’ve already started REGISTRATION for the upcoming school year! This is INCREDIBLY important since our class sizes have grown. Please save your child’s spot for next year by completing online registration (CLICK HERE).
As always, please check out our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram) for updates, pictures, and additional information! Also, to view our full April Newsletter, please CLICK HERE.
In gratitude,
Summer Tigert, Principal
SCHOOL ENROLLMENT
Enrollment is REQUIRED for ALL families (new and returning). Go to LPOSD's enrollment information page for details. All families MUST upload proof of residency (utility bill or rental agreement).
You MUST sign up for a Parent PowerSchool account at https://lposd.powerschool.com/public before you can enroll a returning student.
NEW and CURRENT/RETURNING families who would like to be considered for enrollment in a school OTHER THAN their zoned school ("open-enrollment") must fill out the open enrollment application.
If you are having issues with the process, please email: helpdesk@lposd.org.
SEE - TELL - NOW
All schools in Lake Pend Oreille School District utilize See, Tell, Now! -- a Student Threat Reporting System. The anonymous tip line is staffed by trained technicians who receive and evaluate tips 24/7. The tips are screened for accuracy and severity, then assigned to school points of contact or law enforcement, if applicable.
