Welcome to Kootenai Elementary
Happy New Year, Kootenai Families!
I hope your holiday season was filled with joy and that your new year is off to a wonderful start. As we wrap up the celebrations of December, we are now entering the heart of our school year!
Over the next few months, our incredible teachers will be focusing on the core content students are expected to master by year’s end. During this important time, it’s essential that we re-establish strong routines. Please help your child arrive at school before 7:55 a.m. each day. In addition, encouraging healthy eating, adequate sleep, and regular hand-washing will help keep our students feeling their best.
If your child shows signs of illness—such as fever or vomiting—please keep them home. Remember to contact the front office to excuse any absences, and reach out to your child’s teacher about making up missed assignments so they don’t fall behind.
I am truly grateful for your partnership as we work together to raise responsible, confident learners and empower every child to reach their full potential.
With gratitude,
Jennifer Bicandi, Principal

SEE - TELL - NOW
All schools in Lake Pend Oreille School District utilize See, Tell, Now! -- a Student Threat Reporting System. The anonymous tip line is staffed by trained technicians who receive and evaluate tips 24/7. The tips are screened for accuracy and severity, then assigned to school points of contact or law enforcement, if applicable.
