A Message from the Principal:

Ahoy Kootenai Pirates!

As we set sail into the summer, I find myself reflecting on the incredible journey we've embarked

upon together. This year marks my first as your captain and what an adventure it has been! I am filled with immense gratitude for the opportunity to lead such a vibrant and dynamic community of learners.

Throughout this year, we've experienced incredible growth and shared countless memorable moments together. Beyond the fun and festivities, it is the growth I have witnessed in each of our students that fills my heart with joy. They have embraced challenges with courage and supported one another with kindness and understanding. Their dedication to learning and unwavering spirit of perseverance inspire me every day.

Thank you for making my first year as principal an unforgettable experience. I am honored to be a part of this incredible community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside each and every one of you. As we look ahead to next school year, I hope each of you will be able to enjoy some time with family outside in this incredible place we call HOME!

I hope everyone will take the time to get outside, PLAY, and soak up some sunshine! In addition, please take some time to dive into a good book and READ over the summer! We have a FUN BINGO challenge going and students can earn raffle prizes and Dojo Points for coloring in their reading logs! Also, if you have an upper elementary student (incoming 4th-6th graders) it would be incredibly helpful to memorize multiplication facts (0-12) over the summer. Mastering this basic skill gives students a HUGE advantage as math gets more challenging. Spending just 2-3 minutes per day on multiplication facts (even in the car ride home from practice or camp) will make an incredible difference!

Lastly, we will continue registration for next year throughout the summer. Please click THIS LINK or call the District Office (208-263-2184). As always, please check out our social media pages (Facebook & Instagram) for updates, pictures, and additional information!

In Gratitude,

Summer Tigert, Principal

Enrollment is REQUIRED for ALL families (new and returning). Go to LPOSD's enrollment information page for details. All families MUST upload proof of residency (utility bill or rental agreement).

You MUST sign up for a Parent PowerSchool account at https://lposd.powerschool.com/public before you can enroll a returning student.

If you are having issues with the process, please email: helpdesk@lposd.org.

SEE - TELL - NOW

All schools in Lake Pend Oreille School District utilize See, Tell, Now! -- a Student Threat Reporting System. The anonymous tip line is staffed by trained technicians who receive and evaluate tips 24/7. The tips are screened for accuracy and severity, then assigned to school points of contact or law enforcement, if applicable.
