Dear Kootenai Families,
I hope your February is off to a wonderful start! I am excited to share that we will be hosting our Title I Family Science Night on Thursday, February 26th. This event promises to be a fun and engaging evening of hands-on science experiments and exploration. We can’t wait to see you there and enjoy an evening of FUN and learning together.
It is truly a pleasure to serve as the principal of Kootenai Elementary, and I am grateful every day for the strong partnership we share with our families. Your continued support plays an essential role in our students’ success, and events like Family Science Night are a wonderful example of our school community coming together.
Thank you, as always, for your involvement, encouragement, and support of our students and staff. I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events and throughout the remainder of the school year.

SCHOOL ENROLLMENT INFORMATION
Enrollment is REQUIRED for ALL families (new and returning). Go to LPOSD's enrollment information page for details. All families MUST upload proof of residency (utility bill or rental agreement).
You will need to sign up for a Parent PowerSchool account at https://lposd.powerschool.com/public before you can enroll a returning student.
NEW and CURRENT/RETURNING families who would like to be considered for enrollment in a school OTHER THAN their zoned school ("open-enrollment") must fill out the open enrollment application.

SEE - TELL - NOW
All schools in Lake Pend Oreille School District utilize See, Tell, Now! -- a Student Threat Reporting System. The anonymous tip line is staffed by trained technicians who receive and evaluate tips 24/7. The tips are screened for accuracy and severity, then assigned to school points of contact or law enforcement, if applicable.
